Zack Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 I finally got my faucet adapter for my ro/di unit, and am in the process of filling the tank! The ro/di unit has been running for a total of about 5 or so hours now. Here's a pic! (please ignore the messy kitchen in the background lol)
Zack Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 Today I picked up 30 pounds of Carab Sea Aragonite. I rinsed it out as much as I could but it still clouded up the tank pretty bad. I haven't added the IO yet. Next all I need is a background and live rock! Any suggestions on powerhead/thermometer placement would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Zack Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 Wee! The tank is getting clearer now compared to 11:00 last night when I couldn't even see the powerheads. I think it will be cleared up by tomorrow! (I hope!)
proraptor Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Man I love the 29 gallon tanks...My next tank will either be a 29, 30 cube, or 60 cube...Havent made up my mind yet
Zack Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 Ok, the lights are the 96w powerquad. Someone just told me an anemone can't be kept with that. Are they right?
abernier Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 yes, they are right. i would go with a 150 watt metal halide. also you have to wait at leat six months before geting an anenome.
