Clown fish question

Hey all, I just purchesed a "tank raised False Percula" for my JBJ 24 nano. He is a baby(about 1 1/2")Currently he is the only fish in there with LR,LS, snails and hermits...

PLUS one gorgeous med/large Torch coral. It's been in there for only 20 hours, I'm not tippin' or anything...just wondering. THANX!

QUESTION:

Anyone have experience with baby tank raised perc's hosting or NOT hosting a Torch? ???

you'd be surprised, they will host almost anything, ive seen one host an open brain, & even a fake plastic anemone. it's just what makes the fish comfortable.

my clown doesnt really host much during the day. He is very active and swims around but right when i turn off the lights, he swims right for the brain, frogspawn, or hammer coral and hosts on it until they all receed. Then he just hosts on the brain.

i had a baby clown and he did not host for almost 4 months Now i cant get him out of my colt coral. Hhe spent the first few months at the surface and trying to host as power head, Trust me in time he WILL host it might take awhile but they are hard wired to host.

I have not heard of one doing it, i had one in my tank and my clown chose the colt coral over it. But like with all things in nauture anything is possible and nothing is written in stone.

Now THAT is one of the wisest things I have ever read on this sight.

I thank you "reefers" for your insight and experience.

It's really too early to call, but I will keep you posted.

Like I said this baby perc. is the only fish and as of now the torch is the only coral or anemone....
