I'm thinking of switching the stock pump to something a little bigger. I've read multiple threads debating the best pump upgrade but am confused as to which most people agree is the best upgrade. My nano is filled with zoos and ricordia only but I do seem to have some dead spots in the tank now with the stock pump. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS!!!!! thanks marc Link to comment
doncb Posted June 27, 2005 Share Posted June 27, 2005 The JBJ website gives the pump gph at 290. I am thinking of an Azoo 1200 @ 317 w/ a Hydor Flo. Interested in what others recommend. As to the brand of the stock pump? Don't know that one. Probably a no-name. Link to comment
Lemec Posted June 27, 2005 Share Posted June 27, 2005 I left mine as is and put on one of the hydor FLOs and the circulation is DEAD! Box says 290 GPH for the stock one but some of the guys have said they have overheating probs with their stock pump and have had issues with it dying rather quickly. I will be replacing mine with a new pump to drive the hydor....1200 maxi-jet. Link to comment
