GPCRalph
I own a pretty powerful skimmer that will fit in the sump of my 12 gal. set-up but I have been thinking of pulling it out to convert the sump into a refugium (with DSB and macroalgae.) If I do this I was thinking to purchase a prizm skimmer to compensate. However, I heard that the pods and such that the refugium broods will not make it past a return pump. So is it worthwhile to go through all this trouble for a refugium when the pods won't feed into the tank or should I just stay with my original skimmer and sump? Thanks, Ralph Link to comment
flaunt
the dsb might help, the macro almost definitely will. if you could figure out an arrangement where the refugium sits above your aquarium you could gravity feed it back to the main tank and not risk destroying pods. Link to comment
