Dave Angel
I was wondering how many of you guys have the 6g NanoCube? I was thinking about buying the 54 watt Nanocustom tank, and have two question: 1. What are people using in the back compartments? 2. Is it neccesssary to add another PH, or is the stock PH enough? bill_m3
Chamber 1 = Carbon, maybe some filter floss (temporarily if I'm moving things around and creating a storm) Chamber 2 = 400 Rio with spinner, a few small pieces of LR Chamber 3 = Stock pump, 50w heater The stock PH is weak; however, I'd be careful about replacing it with something too powerful. It will move your sand bed. What I did is put a 2nd pump (400 Rio) through the top of the 2nd chamber. I drilled a hole through the seperating wall and then attached a spinner on the display side of the tank. I have this pump on a timer to go on for 4 hour increments. This setup has worked extremely well for me. Link to comment
apex003
My chambers currently have: 1)LR rubble,2)LR rubble,3)pump & 25W heater. I'm going all natural. =) Link to comment
Dave Angel
apex003 - how is the 'all natural' filtration working for you? Any problems? I was thinking about going a similiar way, but also having a sponge (washed/replaced every week) in compartment 1. Link to comment
embryoguy
i would recommend in first chamber, live rock , with sponge with macro on top. chamber two. live rock with macro on top. , chamber three w/ pump and heather. i tried to go all natural also but i find that without the sponge in initial chamber you get alot of debris that clogs the pump. so you end up having to clean it out often. of course ive installed a fuge light.
