bowfront26
one of the LFS out here in santa barbara tests saltwater for basically anything w/o charge. i was just wondering how common this is among fish stores. Link to comment
jenniebutterfly
not common at all around here Link to comment
winniebagel
The LFS I used to go to used to charge $2 per test fees (they were using Salifert tests). Needless to say, I found that too expensive and bought my own Salifert test kits. Link to comment
Upright Joe
I've had water tested at 3 different LFS's near me. 2/3 have published prices for testing but none of them ever actually charged me. I think it's a great loss leader for a store to NOT charge. The 2 that have prices posted probably just do it so that nobody abuses the system and comes in every day for water testing. drparker
Free if buying something, else .5 for each basic and 1.00 for each Iodine, calcium, phosphate. Drew Link to comment
fishman89
free for both of the stores near me, even though petco is one (not really a fish store but has minimal selection) Link to comment
