ccjung
They are heeerree!!! 6 months in the waiting, I have secured 2 pallets (32 units) of the 2005 24g DX. I havent physically gotten my hands on one yet (will tomorrow) but here are the specs: 1. Splashguard has been revised to cover the entire lighting and fan area. 2. Hinges are different , but exactly like the 12g DX and 6g. heres who have signed up and will be redirected to our ordering pages once i get a final specification (Friday). We will start taking configurations over the weekend and will start building on Monday. Here is the list i have so far Chris Hutt $63.34 05/21/2005 15:38:01 24g Queue Mitch Neal $55.80 05/19/2005 17:38:28 24g Queue Michael Fortuna $67.89 05/10/2005 18:37:25 24g Queue patrick young $25.00 05/05/2005 12:09:27 24g Queue Robert Catarius $25.00 04/12/2005 18:40:28 24g Queue Danny Manh $25.00 04/06/2005 00:17:55 24g Queue Corey Runge $50.22 04/05/2005 20:11:29 24g Queue Steven Van De steene $67.59 04/01/2005 09:50:43 24g Queue Adam Salamon $41.56 03/31/2005 18:29:06 24g Queue Jim Whitney $67.59 03/12/2005 12:41:59 24g Queue Stephen Toledo $55.66 03/04/2005 20:41:47 24g Queue robert turner $69.73 02/22/2005 19:03:20 24g Queue Kessel Nelson $67.69 02/21/2005 18:42:44 24g Queue David Nylec $169.03 02/19/2005 10:46:39 24g Queue Michael Pierce $25.00 02/18/2005 21:48:12 24g Queue Sharon Dzergoski $135.38 02/18/2005 12:06:26 24g Queue Richard Martinez $25.00 02/18/2005 06:50:58 24g Queue Jacek Gil $399.66 02/09/2005 21:38:48 24g Queue David Adrian $384.94 12/17/2004 11:47:21 24g Queue Please note that the order that the tanks will go out is based on order date. This means Dave Adrian gets his first. Also, Dave and Jacek. Since you paid for the 3.36 in advance, you will get the maxed out systems for the prices you paid. I anticipate the pricing to be in line with my current setups, approx $2-3/watt. I also anticipate the max power of the 24g to be around 200+ w. If you are interested in the dual 70w Halides, let me know and you will be placed in queue when i can safely release that particular model.. I expect the halide models to be out in late june/early july. To all of you with the faith in my company, thank you very much. I have been waiting just as long as everyone else, so I appreciate your patience and candor. Hope this makes your day.. Chris Link to comment
ccjung
Also, as stated earlier. After tomorrow nanocustoms will be "shut down" on any other custom builds. To resume building once we get through the list. Chris Link to comment

dja1980
Ha Ha... See, I knew it would be worth the wait. I'm so excited I'm shaking. I have been working with Chris on this order since the end of November 2004, and as you can see from the list, I placed my order on December 17, 2004. When Chris first found out that JBJ was coming out with a new version of the 24g, he talked me into holding off since he knew what I had in mind for lighting upgrades. JBJ gave him reason to believe the new version would be available end of January, early February at the latest, hence the reason I thought it wouldn't be too bad to hold out for the new one. Like Chris said, "6 months in the waiting..." Oh, well. He definitely made it worth the wait. You rock Chris!!! Link to comment
ccjung
Thanks JMT My office computer wont help me resize, so JMT posted it for me. Heres my preliminary evaluation. The front can fit 3x36 (staggard) The rear can fit 2x24 (or 2x32) .. OR possibly 96w Powerquad The fuge can take 13-32w Fuge Light This was off target from what i was expecting, but performancewise, the new canopy will definately be more reliable and should handle more heat.. What this does mean for production. Is that were gonna have to rearrange our gameplan a bit. I expect the final configuration to be settled early next week. Some small setbacks, but i think this should be an excellent mod. Thanks for your support. Chris Link to comment
Chronicles
Just throw 2x 70w'ers in there and call it a day chris : Link to comment
sjtoledo
As a poll how many of you guys are going to go with the halides? Link to comment
elimmel
hmm so the 24G i just got from aquarama is the 2005 version i'm almost finished with it. it's 4x36 with another diy moonlight in it. will probably add another couple of fans. should have waited to see chris' mod. before i went ahead and ripped out the stock reflector to accomodate the extra 2x36. it a mess but not too bad for a 1st timer Link to comment
Nickeleye
Ok everybody, I've taken it upon myself to add more pictures of the new 24. Here you go. Hope you enjoy Link to comment

Nickeleye
Yes, but some slight modification is required. See Chris' response: The hinges can be removed (dremeled off) and the new hinges placed on. Link to comment
ccjung
Quick update. Im going to be getting parts in later this week to start finalizing configurations. The tapered rear section seemed to be slightly disappointing, but after some careful evaluation i ve come to the following conclusions for scenarios: PC Version (maxed out): 3 x 36w = 108w 2 x 24w = 72w 1 x 24w = 24w Fuge ============== 204w The Halide Scenario 1 x 150w MH 1 x 36w 1 x 24w 1 x 24w Fuge Im optimistic about the 150, but can always revert to dual 70s. This should be an interesting week. Chris Link to comment
deadmanh
Q: any projected benefits of difference between 2 x 70w VS 1 x 150 MH for the 24g? A: nanocustoms: i think 2 x 70 would have some benefits up top, more coverage in the top half nanocustoms: 150 more penetration and more shadows too Q: and maybe more control (for the 2 x 70) if things get hot? A: nanocustoms: yeah Link to comment
