Alternative to SCWD?

While I'm waiting for my Nanocustoms 24, I'm doing the obligatory shopping/dreaming/plotting/stressing.

I think I want more flow than what a single maxijet would give, so I'm currently planning a MJ1200 in sections 1 and 3 like Ashburn's got:

What do you think of a MJ1200 in compartments 1 and 3, connected to this guy?

Basically its a control box that switches power between 2 outlets every X seconds, depending on how you want to set it up...At $35 it's pretty close to the price of a SCWD.

I am very happy with my Chauvet chase timer.

It's slightly cheaper than the one you listed, and it has 4 outlets and can either do 4 channel or 2 channel switching. I've got it set to 2 channel switch on a 1 minute timer (1 minute on, 1 minute off).

Even better! Thanks.

I was thinking shorter intervals - 30sec/ side or so. Did you try that and find 1 minute was better?

1 minute is the shortest interval for that unit.

Once you get it going, you'll probably find that it's fine.
