Pump return at Loc-Line

I just received my 1/2" Y Adapter and 2 1 1/4" Flare Nossles for my 12dx. The 1/2" of the Y is slightly larger than the stock output on the cube and was wondering what other people did to attach it.

The original flare is connected to a ball joint. I just connected my Y adapter to that ball joint. (After I realized it was there and didn't take it off with the original flare...Hahahaha..)

I didn't get the original ball joint flare with mine. In another thread I saw that somebody put a tube into the output so it fit snugly, then put the loc-line ball joint over the end of the tube that was sticking out. It supposedly fit well, and that what I'm planning on doing.

I was looking for the size of the output ball, is it 1/2"?
