drbegalke
Has anyone installed an ice probe on a 12g dx nano cube? If so, any advice/pictures? Thanks Link to comment
artarmon42
Drill the tank. I tried but couldn't figure out another way. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...&threadid=53942 Link to comment
artarmon42
But for what it's worth, if you're just looking to cool the tank in summer, try the rear vent/fan method as I documented at http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...20&pagenumber=8 Link to comment
drbegalke
Does the just the back wall into the chamber need to be drilled, or is the probe so long that the tank/chamber wall need to be drilled as well? (I saw a pic of one mod that had the white probe sticking about 1/4 inch into the main tank area...) Link to comment

artarmon42
In a 12G, if you were to drill from the back glass, you'd have to drill the wall as well. Link to comment
stoney waters
I have done it. There are some pics in my gallery. Link to comment
stoney waters
You just glue a pvc cap over the protruding probe. Link to comment
