Auryn
thinking of getting this to feed my shrooms, new hitchiking tube corals and hopefully zoos in the future maybe the perculas will eat it too any luck using this food? http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...cfm?pcatid=5011 Link to comment
neanderthalman
I don't know about your tube corals, but your zoos and shrooms do not need to be fed, they are photosynthetic. You CAN feed some/most/all? shrooms, but it isn't necessary. Tube corals...I have no idea, do some research and make sure that tube corals can eat food of that size, or eat at all. Link to comment
FAC_WNY
That stuff is junk...if you want to feed corals, try the Liquid Life products or DT's oyster eggs. And EVERY coral needs "food" other than light. Photosynthetic or not...photosynthesis does not make up 100% of ANY corals needs. Be it DOM or planktonic food sources..all corals need food. BKtomodachi
But what fred left out is that for zoos and shrooms, you dont need to do anything special at all. The most you'll do, IMO, is pollute the tank. Link to comment
FAC_WNY
Yeah yeah..I wandered again, BK...but you are going to need a DOM source (got fish?). And I've seen my zoanthids gratefully accept cyclop-eeze. Cheers, Fred Link to comment
rbaby
My zoos wouldn't know cyclopeez if it bit them in the tentacle. For some reason...even though I try to feed them cyclopeez they don't give it the time of day..except for some huge paly's that close up whenever they grab something...but they're just pigs. Auryn
so is freeze dried cyclopeeze worth me looking at or no? Link to comment
BKtomodachi
NO! Go frozen or not at all. Link to comment
FAC_WNY
Frozen, refridgerated, or fresh foods. Cheers, Fred Link to comment
Kogut
Since I always agree w/ Fred, I might as well keep up the trend. DT's oyster eggs are probably the food of choice for you. If you stick a chunk of food on a shroom or zoa, it's probably not going to do anything with it. You just need to allow the tank to mature and get things dissolved in the water column, IMHO. Shrooms and Zoas aren't going to kick the bucket due to lack of food... :| Link to comment

Do the frozen cyclo stink? I forget to feed my fish once in a while because I dread the smell of mysis ... Link to comment
FAC_WNY
If you get your nose about 1/4" from frozen cyclo..it does smell a bit briny...lol...but I've never noticed it in normal feeding..lol. Cheers, Fred Link to comment
