i'm at the nitrates stage, this rock was fully cured.

anyway any good sites that ship across the pond would be nice.

i have just ordered a aquaclear for $49.99 + $39 shipping.

good programme to reduce bytes of a picture to post on this site

just take it slow and you should be fine with the cycle. ouch, that's a lot for shipping. almost any hob would have worked. just need something with a lot of volume.

i know shipping is dear? but i would like to make a fuge, get rid of the equipment in the tank maybe add a small skimmer, no one in europe does a good HOB, only could find one in germany.

voltage is 110V in usa, in england it's 240V.

never mind i'm a sparky (think you call them journey men) i have a shaver socket to reduce voltage 240 to 110V.

still need help posting a picture.

I was thinking about getting an aquaclear over here too. Which one did you go for? In the end I decided to mod a 2nd small tank behind and above my main nano to act as a fuge. Worked out cheaper for 10x the volume. Unfortunately its also much bigger!

You can get good Interpet CF lights from surrey pet supplies so you won't have to step up the voltage on them too.

I'm going skimmerless but I've heard that the remora is okay and is certainly available in Europe. Alternatively there's an in sump version of it.

Hope this helps.

The 500 is the type I nearly ordered too. Everyone seems to swear by them.

My tank is a 4USG Peak Aquatics with a 3 USG tank acting as a sump/fuge. It's still under construction (have to build this hood) but should be cycling by the end of the week.

70miles is easy cycling distance (its the return leg that'd be the killer!)
