Keeping a Caulastrea

Does anyone have success growing a candycane/Caulastrea in their 12G DX? I am watching my second attempt at keeping one slowly die. If you have had success where do you have it mounted in the tank?

I have a lime green candy cane in my 24. I just got a few days ago and it seems to be doing ok. It took a few tries to find someplace it would sit right, but I ended up putting it on the highest point of my LR base in a high flow area. From what I understand they need both high light and high flow. If you haven't already done so I would move it as close to the lights a possible and see what happens.
