fish_fanatic06
Could I make a pico out of a freshwater starter kit, like the ones that are 1-2gallons, if so how? Link to comment
moonyguy
I am doing just that. I got a 1.6 gallon hex kit from walmart for 20$. Got rid of the UG filter and the pump/airstone. Got an aqua clear nano power filter (fuge and circulation) for 12$ from Petco and a 10W 50/50 PC blub from BigAls for 15$ (incuding shipping). More about myset up here. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/showthread...&threadid=54169 Will be posting some pictures shortly. Link to comment
neanderthalman
I've got the same setup, except I have a powerhead instead of a HOB. All you need to provide in a pico is heat, light, current, and patience. Link to comment
janapier1
can we get enough filtration and circulation with some pumping zenias, a live sponge, a small nassarius snail with some live sand and light of course, as I'm thinking about trying in a liter. Link to comment
