PFB
Has any one tried the Tetra Tec hang on power filter with integrated heater? I am looking for a way to get the heater out of the tank but can’t seem to find a small power filter that is deep enough to house a 6 inch heater. The smallest Tetra Tec is 150gph, is this to much for a 3 gallon? Any other suggestions? Link to comment
Physh1
I think the filter would be too big for that tank. 150 gph is also a lot for a 3 gallon too. Unfortunately, I don't see any way to make it work. You could try to buy a HO filter that does fit and retro the heater into it. I've seen a few done that way but with a 3 gallon system real estate is small. Cameron Link to comment
Glenn
I agree w/ Physh1 and want to add that I have heard that the Tetra-Tech filters are loud. Link to comment
lizbeth
I use an Aquaclear 200 and a Hagen Thermal Compact 50 watt heater on my 5.5, it works great. You might even be able to squeze the heater in a 150, I had the 200 so I used it. Link to comment
PFB
Thanks all. I will take a look at the Aquaclears next time I am at the store. Link to comment
