Is this hitchhiker bad for my system?

The hitchhiker revealed himself this morning,

He was hidden deep within the crevice of one of the rocks that I put in on Sunday, I could only see some legs moving. I thought he was a crab then. Yesterday when I got up in the morning (rushing to my tank to see what changed :) ) I caught a glimpse of the hitchiker scurrying back into a crevice. This morning he was out, so I grabbed my camera and shot a couple pics of him.

What do you think? What kind of crab is it? Is it good or bad for my nano? Or, do you think he will even survive the cycle?

Thanks,

Mark

palythoa crab? may eat zoanthids? i'm going by it's mottling and claws but that's not always accurate.

if it is the above then it's bad for zoanthids but then again i'm a anti-crab guy. hitchhikers are cool, free stuff! B)

you've got a good point that it may not even last thru the cycle tho.

looks like a little hairy, zoo eater to me. Keep a close eye on him, or get rid of him once you add some corals. I'm kind of a anti crab guy as well. They're too unpredictable.

But its always cool to find new things in your tank, that you did not realize you had.
