sean1
Okay,I recently bought a xenia. It was sold to me as a pumping type and it did pump but only right when I put it in the tank. Now it seems to be the healthiest looking Xenia I have ever seen but it hasn't pumped much. Is this A problem with water quality because evrything seems fine. Link to comment
DIYDude
Its been noted that xenia will actually stop pumping if the ph falls below 8.3 (per Anthony Calfo) might want to check into that. Also salinity. Link to comment
ezramore
i have heard but am not sure that they will slow their pumping with higher flow. Link to comment
dweakl01
Provide ample lighting, stable pH (8.3), salinity of 1.025 - 1.026, temperature NOT HIGHER than 77 Farenheit and iodide supplement (only if you have tested first)...and you should have happy, healthy xenias for your entire life. DIYDude
Just be careful because ones the params are prime that xenia will spread. I have it all over my tank even on the walls now. Link to comment
ezramore
i have had mine for just 3 months and have had to remove half of it twice now, and am getting ready to do it again Link to comment
pineomt
My tank is 80 degrees and my Xenia is growing like a kid during puberty. Not saying that saying that your wrong ezramore, but I think we should stay away from generalizations. Link to comment
BKtomodachi
All exramore talked about was water flow... how is your statement even pertinent? Link to comment
