take your pic, different types of snails eat different types of algea, some burrow in the sand, others stay on the rocks and glass. hermit crabs are best for algea when talking about crabs, but you have to be careful the ones that get larger may eat some corals. emerald crabs are great for bubble algea. some crabs are not reef safe (that goes for snails too). your tank would be too small for starfish, a shrimp would be cool thou. you have a lot of options, do some research, find out what you like and see if it is compatible with what you plan to keep in the tank.
