jayk
I just bought a little fragment of coral and noticed this bugger on it... is it an Aiptasia? I yanked it off (as best I could - it skrinks down to pretty much nothing when out of the water) and squirted some hot water on it, so hopefully it's gone. PS: Anyone know exactly what kind of coral this is (I'm talking about the mushroom-looking things, not the polyps) - the guy at the store wasn't sure. Link to comment
NanoReefer53
hmm...i wonder who would win. Stinging shrooms or that aiptasia. Link to comment

rexxx
oh they look to be ricordia shrooms Link to comment
Sahin
Thats an aiptasia alright. What are you going to do? Leave it there and see what happens or prepare battle with the aiptasia? If you prefer to leave it, keep us posted on the outcome. This would be interesting. Link to comment
devil
if an apitasia is in a bunch of stingers it will not have a chance to escape if it was an actinia equina then I wuld say poor corals! Link to comment
gabe3eb
Definately aptasia, probably not ricordia, looks like a green hairy shroom, which of course is just a common name. Very nice looking though, looks kinda close to a watermellon shroom, not as bright though. I would love to have a shroom of those, if they really do start growing out of control I will trade any day! gaber Link to comment
