They say it was sold to another company and changed names. I havent been able to find it here in the dc metro area at all. The HD used to carry it awhile ago. Do a search on south down on this and othe rforums to get its new name.

 

As a side note I recently looked and called all over maryland with no luck. Last night I went out to the shed and discovered the 40# bag of south down i purchased for a project a couple of years ago sitting on a shelf.. Go figure

there's a huge thread on rc about southdown sand that would give you better info. hard to find if you're not in the northeast or florida. far easier to pay for and use caribsea sand. really any aragonite sand is good enough, just a damn shame to overpay. i got my 40 lbs of southdown for $5 at HD in NYC.
