10k with actinic or 20k?

I am going to add a 70w hqi setup to the new hood i will be building for my nano cube over winter break. My question is what do you think would be better. 10k halide with 24 w pc actinic or a straight up 20k halide? All opinions are welcome.

if you have the room use actinic lighting. going for good PAR is better than good color.

if it exists... i would get a 14k or 13k 70w bulb + actinic.

 

i'm a fan of "crisper blue-ish white" light... so if the option above is unavailable... then i would choose a 20k bulb w/o actinic. (purely for aesthetic purposes)

 

but if you choose 10k + actinic, you can do dawn/dusk lighting cycles for your tank... which makes for cool viewing times in morning + evening. totally up to you and how you'd like to approach it. hth
