mderemick
Hey all, I have a 5G tank and some electric green GSP which is ready for fragging. I know i can simply cut the mat and peel it off, but i want to know if i need to remove the rock from my tank before fragging. The rock is one of my shelves, and I dont know if there are any toxins in gsp that get released when cut (like a leather coral). I dont want to hurt anything else in my tank (a plate, shrooms, rics, zoos & a tiny piece of xenia). Just want to know if i can cut it in the tank now or do i need to remove it before cutting to be safe. Also, if anyone has any other fragging tips for GSP it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Nateair
when mine friend fragged them for me he literrally just ripped them out of the tank. there was a colonie on a small rock so he ripped that out and then grapped a small spot that he could just rip off. so i could start 2 colonies. mine GSP are doing great and so are his. mderemick
Thanks! Thats great news, because I really didnt want to redo all of my aquascaping to do this. I had placed a small rock next to the colony a few months ago and it has completely grown over the rock, so I want to cut them out for my friend. Thanks again guys. Link to comment
pineomt
How does one frag GSP? I have a frag that has completly out grown it's rock, and I would like to get it to a bigger rock, or maybe even the glass... Link to comment
