I do know that many powerheads are marked with max head, which is the maximum distance up the ph can pump HOWEVER all that means is that flow decreases with height and reaches zero at 6'7" So if you try to pump water up 6'6" you will get almost no flow. You're not trying to use a MJ1200 as a sump return are you? Link to comment
