Do Anemone (sabea) poop even thou it has not had any food in about 5 days when I brought it home from the LFS

It has poop twice but I havent fed it

I do have the lights on 12 hours since she looked very bleached its actually white with purple tips was told this shouldnt be the color which means bleached

But all the poop worries me

Yup healthy sebaes should have a tannish sort of color

 

some people actually think that it's supposed to be white with purple tips!

 

yes how about you feed it like frozen brine or some other meaty food?

If your anemone is "kinda" bleached I would suggest feeding it immediately. Use selcon enriched frozen foods ie krill,sivlersides and feed it until it regains color. I would suggest every day. If it is indeed bleached it does not have a sufficient way to absorb energy from light. What type of lighting are you using by the way?

I tried feeding it the other day a nickel size piece of shrimp that I bought at the fish market .The shrimp had just arrived about two hours at the store, so this stuff was fresh considering, and the anenome didnt even want to deal

The anenome has this spot the she likes at the opening of one of my many caves in the LR, she will blow herself up and during the day looks normal I guess. At night she shrinks into the Rock I guess to sleep not all the way in

 

Tank is 38 gallon

Orbit Compact Fluorescent 36" 2 - 96 watt 3 Lunar Lights

Sun Paq bulbs (Dual Actinic are 420nm/460nm & Dual Daylight are 6,700°K/10,000°K), Lunar Lights

LIGHTS ON FOR 14 hours the first 13 all lights ( execpt Lunar) on the last hour Actinic and then come on the night light LUNAR until morning

cut down on your lighting. Only need about 10-12 hours a day. I set mine for 10 daylight and 12 actinic.
