kevin the man
why is it that some people use airstones and some dont? i had put in a clownfish a few days ago and it died 2 days later, and it had been breathing heavily and was struggling to float. Would this help all my water tests show that it is fine Link to comment
Meercat_Maric
Airstones in the main tank? Never heard of it... perhaps an airstone in your skimmer, but never in the main tank. Microbubbles can lead to a whole world of trouble when released into the water especially considering your fishes health not to mention the clarity of the water. IMO the only place an arstone would fit in a main tank would be for fresh water. Link to comment
ebin
Actually most all the old time nano reefers use just an air line into the tank with nothing else. I love the look of those patch reef nanos. I have read a few articles by Daniel Knop on the subject and will hopefully someday tinker with the idea. Link to comment
