GregSVT
I didn't do a water change till the 2nd week. My Ammonia and Nitrite read 0 and my Nitrate was in the 10ppm range. The middle of that third week I added my cleaner crew. The end of the third week I did another water change. Nitrate went down to 5ppm and I added 2 nice size zoo rocks and a rock full of star polyps. At the 4 week period I added a false perc and he's doing great! It just takes patience. Now I'm going to wait a while till I start adding anything new. Link to comment
EtOH_is_good
how fast the ammonia/nitrite spikes disappear will depend on the quality of your lr. a drastic water change of 50% is not needed. doing a 10-20% change is good enough for a soft cycle. Link to comment
