ProFlatlander15
i have two 1/2" siphons for my overflow, and that doesn't seem to be enough siphon. my drain is still running partially dry....how do i get a stronger siphon??? do i need bigger tubing? my sihpon just isnt strong...and i want more water flow so i can turn my pump up. cadesun
if you have a skimmer, it is a strong possibility that microbubbles are being trapped in your siphon, slowing it down. i tap mine vigarously once or twice a week to clear them. Link to comment

cadesun
hmmm... i know this sounds weird, but try just one 1/2" tube and see if that works. i have read that if there is not enough flow through a siphon it will not work properly. i used to run 2 1" siphons on my tank, and it didn't work very well, so i took one out and now it keeps my tank and fuge tank water levels nearly even.
