Sad leather

I just put it in my tank and hes slumped over. Ive been reading some forums and this seem to happen often. Is this true or not, and how long might this last. What can I do.

You can prop the rock in a position to upright the leather coral, or you can do nothing.

well I did move him, but he only stayed upright for about an hour.

the same thing happen to my xenia , give it time to get aclimated and it should stand up if water conditons are good.

i guess the max is the "trunk"?

Just be patient. Corals don't adjust in 1 day or a few hours. It takes a couple of days.

 

Just wait and see. Look if the polyps extand, that's important.

Well all the polyps in the light are out(about half), but because its bent over its shading itself and some are in. Normal???

What I ment to say. Is that normal?

And on another note. I bought a large liverock this weekend and it had a finger leather that looked almost dead in the lfs tank. So the lfs said I could just have it with the rock. When I got home and put it in the tank(I didnt even aclimate it because I had no way to, the rock was to big) within an hour the finger leather looked as healthy as anyone I have ever seen. Beautiful!!! Its been vary vary happy for three days.
