Tang lover
Hi I bought the smallest wavemaker my lfs had to offer and I put it on the medium and lowest but it goes very fast and blows my clowns around Is it just because clowns have to get used to it or is it just too strong it is 6watts for 60 to 200 litres mines 40 is it too strong for my tank or is it just placed wrong Quote Link to comment
seabass
That powerhead is rated at 4000 L/H, which would make it a 100 times turnover rate. That's pretty high (I'd prefer about half of that), but clownfish should be able to take it. Obviously they shouldn't be getting sucked into the pump's intake, or trapped against the glass or rocks. It might seem like a lot; however, the current in the ocean is pretty strong, so they are built to handle relatively strong flow. 1 Quote Link to comment
