millenium 1000 or 2000

Has anyone had any experience with these power filters? I'm wondering if I can use the 1000 on a ten gallon tank with some live rock and aragonite or aragalife sand. I'm running a Skilter 250 on my eleven gallon now with no filter pad and all levels are good and two ocellaris clowns are fine. I'm not using any other powerheads and it seems to be doing the job. I'd like to run one of the milleniums on a ten gallon, and also need to know where to get a good deal on a pc fixture that I could have a few corals with.

I've used both on my FW system. The 2000 is probably too big for your 10 g. Either one of them has the defect of not starting up again on their own if there is an interruption in power.

IME they were pretty durable otherwise. But, I would prefer to use a PH because the water pouring from the filter may disturb your sandbed too much, unless you have the water level right up to the outflow.
