Lebowski_
Those plants will all do really well, except maybe the Monte Carlo. You will have to keep a close eye on that one. it looks great! 2 Quote Link to comment

Here’s mine: literally can’t remember what I bought at the lfs anymore lol, I think some italian val, micro sword, ludwigia somethingcuata, some type of anubias and maybe some dwarf sag? I think there’s one or 2 more I got too. Got annoyed at myself when I got home and realized I forgot to get some floaters, probably gonna order some moss and red roots online. edit: water still clearing up Maybe I should start a build thread for mine too? 4 Quote Link to comment

That looks amazing! I love it. Did you just use a rock for now to hold down the driftwood? I will definitely follow your thread too. Quote Link to comment

And thanks to you guys and everyone else for all the help getting it going! Now I need to figure out how to run this thing!! The wood is still soaking in a bin and one of the dragon stone rocks is holding it down… I will add them when the wood doesn’t float anymore. Some different sources recommended the Monte Carlo as an easy ground cover instead of Cuba or another one we liked that was considered difficult… we’ll see if it makes it. Not sure I made the substrate layer think enough. I do have a little more Fluorite I can add, but it’s not a lot. And I’ll have to move the plant on the back right a little so it still shows in photos with the curvature of the tank… it’s more of the hydrocotyle Japan. It’s interesting working with a curved tank… definitely affects what shows in the pics and it’s easy to create a total whirlpool in there with the flow. 2 Quote Link to comment

Yes, to both XD Already like what you're doing with it more than how I had it set up for Lydia. 1 Quote Link to comment

I loved how you had it set up for Lydia!! 💛💛💛 And I am so grateful you reached out to me when you were ready to break down the tank. Now it’s just a whole different thing with freshwater, and perfect to learn something new with such a unique tank. I wonder if tiny schooling fish might swim in a circle if it’s a whirlpool? Also wondering how to keep the tiny fish in the display… chili rasboras will definitely fit through the slots into the back chamber. I’ll probably order one of the innovative marine fish guards like I’m using on my Studio 12, but they might fit through that too… at least it should help though. I’ll also need to figure out how to attach it because I’m sure the hook won’t fit with the lid. 1 Quote Link to comment

banasophia
My local betta guy just pmd me a video of the fish I really like, it’s the front one. I love the mix of burgundy, black, and white. We’ll see if the teenager likes it… she usually vetos my favorites. She will probably want a hellboy or Spanish dancer. 1 Quote Link to comment
banasophia
Planned fish are still the following: male betta green neon tetras chili rasboras salt and pepper corydoras Hopefully that won’t be overstocked. 1 1 1 Quote Link to comment
growsomething
Love corys. Love tetras. The rasbora may school in a circular current. What definitely will at the top, if that's where the outflow is, are ghost cats, but they are an aquired taste I think. 1 Quote Link to comment

I will definitely follow your thread too. Thanks! Those two seiryu stones in the back are kind of on top of the driftwood, so it’s held down well. The other smaller darker sticks are in the sand and stuck between the rocks. 1 Quote Link to comment
MrP
Chili rasboras are pretty fish.....in close-up photos. In the tank, they stay so small, you can't see their details. I had 4 dozen of them. They are difficult to feed. I'm down to 4 now. I have to feed them powdered food similar to coral food or they don't eat. Even the smallest pellet, once it hits the water, will expand and they ignore it because they can't fit it into their mouth. Just something to consider. 1 Quote Link to comment

They are super cool looking, but I was thinking they would get too big for this tank? Quote Link to comment

banasophia
This is interesting, so I thought I would post. The first and third fish of the 3 above are from a seller in Indonesia. Here is an overview of the process if I decide I want to buy one of his fish: The Opal (fish 2) is already available locally. Quote Link to comment
