Ethn
I have a 13.5 evo. I have been struggling finding a wave maker small enough for this tank. 265 gph is overly intense. I have an upgraded pump that’s 180 gph. However, I would like to add some more flow throughout. Any recommendations or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you Quote Link to comment

That sounds pretty good to me. Quote Link to comment
TheKleinReef
the tunze nano stream is rated for 53-1200gph. and it's dc! https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/tunze-turbelle-nanostream-6040.html I have the AC version of this in my sump. Little workhorses they are. Quote Link to comment
Superdave
Cannot tell you how much I love this wave maker. I have it in my 20 gallon UNS tank. https://www.amazon.com/hygger-Controller-Powerhead-Submersible-Circulation/dp/B083LFZ4HC/ref=asc_df_B083LFZ4HC/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=416723245886&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5844110100369220590&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9026941&hvtargid=pla-874226306319&psc=1®ion_id=674469&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=96812686551&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=416723245886&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5844110100369220590&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9026941&hvtargid=pla-874226306319 I watched a very good, accurate review of the wave maker before I bought it and that convinced me to give it a shot. His take is exactly mine as well. The only "consideration" is that the control module is not super intuitive, but you can figure it out and once you do their "code" for things make sense. I set it up in an empty tank, so I could play with the settings and see how they all worked before picking one and putting in my tank. Have had it for a year and have ZERO regrets or complaints. It gives you tons of options, in terms of flow, and is best price point I've found for its features and size. 3 1 Quote Link to comment

I bought a couple of Hygger brand lights and was happy with them so thought I'd give the wave maker a chance and it has been great. 1 Quote Link to comment
Koleswrath
I have two Jebao SW2's in a 12" cube. They're rated for 132 -660 gph but it seems to be a pretty wide gentle flow so I don't see any sand blowing around while running them on random (Else) mode. I have special grade sand though so it can handle a little more flow than the super fine stuff. I picked these over the Hygger due to cost and the option to aim them but I wouldn't mind trying out the Hygger. Seems a bit smaller with possibly wider flow than the SW2's even from looking at it. I am a touch worried about their durability but so far so good. (3 months in) Quote Link to comment

I used one on my previous 13.5 fluvial and it can deliver well for that tank. It has enough configrability and a good wide flow patter with a small internal form factor. The Nero 3 is a step up, also a good choice. In both these cases you will be using the pump at like 50% power or less Which is good. Quieter operation and less stress on the equipment. Subliminal
I just added the smallest Sicce powerhead...it doesn't alternate current but it definitely made a difference! Quote Link to comment
banasophia
Agree with the hygger mini. I’ve been using them for a couple years - in my fluval evo 5, my biocube 16, and my reef casa studio 12 - probably my favorite. Other good options for a nano that I have and use in my tanks are a jebao OW-10, a jebao SLW-10, and a vortech MP-10. Here’s a pic comparing the hygger mini to the jebao slw-10. The hygger mini is much smaller with narrower intake gaps, though it cannot be angled the way the slw-10 and ow-10 can. 1 Quote Link to comment
