Morpheus77
20 gallon long tank fixing to kick off. Went with a Fijicube Aio drop in kit, applied the back ground a few min ago. Should be adding water this weekend and start cycling soon. Big plans for this tank, getting excited. Keep yall posted. 2 Quote Link to comment
AiredaleReef
Big fan of the 20L look. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses. 1 Quote Link to comment
Morpheus77
Water in the tank, aquascaping to come later, just some base rock for now for colonization purposes, will be adding more to this in due time. Will circulate half a day or so, maybe longer, then will add ammonium chloride to help cycle. Never used this option, so will need to study up on this in mean time. Any suggestions on this stuff? Still haven't decided on light yet, looking to stay LED, and preferably nothing I have to hang from ceiling, looking at fluval 3.0 setup maybe, don't know yet, have several weeks to figure this out, but any help there would be appreciated as well. I'd like to keep it no more than 250, but will splurge if needed. Quote Link to comment
Morpheus77
Also been thinking about a top cover, but not sure what it's called. It sorta like grating, but made out of plastic, probably half inch thick, and would be in 1/4" squares. Just a thought for now, may decide not to, but what is that called? Anyone? If you do a search for a DIY LID, you will find some threads on an inexpensive way to make one out of supplies for making screens sold at home depot or lowes. Also, you can purchase a kit from online aquarium supply venders. 1 Quote Link to comment
