Title says it all, is one better then the other? What do you suggest, have a Ada 60p 16 gallon.

I’m a huge fan of spectrapures RODI units. All though, I’m sure you can’t go wrong with any of the BRS ones either. 
 

Also, great choice on tanks. We’ve got two ADA 60Ps running currently. (And a third one in the closet.)

I've got one from BRS.   I wish I would have spent the extra money for the kit with the pressure gauge and in line TDS meter as now that I've learned more about them I'm probably going to be adding that.

The biggest piece of advice I can give is you need is to buy a full size RODI machine - not a tiny RO Buddie or anything similar. While they are cheaper up front, it'll end up costing you more after just a single year with even a small nano, your filter options are much more limited, and they are not using standardized sized filters.

 

You also need to look at your water report (should be available from your city or county) as well to see if you have Chloramines. If you do, you want to make sure to get a carbon block made for handling chloramines.

 

Other than that, there are no wrong choices. I personally like Spectrapure, but also own BRS canisters and they are made well. All the filters and media are totally interchangeable since they are standardized sizes. Inline TDS meters and pressure gauges are a nice to have, but not required if you are good about keeping track of how much water you make. Flush kits are nice, but also not required since you can still flush the membrane - but you have to remove a hose to do it.

I have the BRS 4 stage 150 Gpd water saver premium setup with the flush valve pressure gauge and dual TDS meter. I love it I have low water pressure so I also use a Aquatech booster pump.

I got the budget BRS RO/DI  75 gpd with a TDS meter as an add on.  Works fine for me I fill 2 x 5 gallon jugs to have on hand whenever I need em.

 

Pressure gauge is only really used to test initial water pressure and a guide to when your carbon blocks are getting filled / old.  With a 16 gallon tank would likely be a year before any carbon got blocked off city water and a softener.  Hard well water may need create more of a need.

 

Haven't permanently mounted my TDS meter but it'd be easy to whenever I feel the need.  I use it inline occasinoally with output to test TDS. With my small tank - the RO/DI 

 

Money not an issue - get the Pressure gauge and dual inline RO/DI meter.  Budget an issue you can put it off a while.   If you go with BRS it's easy to add either to your filter and there are plenty of BRS videos to show you how to do it.
