Vacation feeding

I have a small reef tank with a longnose hawkfish. It only eats frozen mysis. I cant ask my house sitter to go thru the routine of straining then turning off the pumps et etc. what kind of dry food would yall recommend?

How long is your vacation?

And do you need to strain the mysis shrimp?

When is your vacation? Have you tried weening them off of frozen and on to freeze dried mysis?

They dont eat freeze dried, flakes, pellets

Have you tried Hikari Marine S Pellets.  Both  my fish eat it.  

 

Whatever your fish is used to, may have to train it to eat a new food. When they are hungry and food is available, they will likely eat the new food if presented with some regularity.   Can try early / late day -- or alternate day food feedings.

If your vacation is soon, I suggest you work it out with your tank sitter on how to feed frozen. There are not a lot of good options on frozen food autofeeders.
