I've been intrigued by k1 kaldnes.  Maybe its just fancy to watch.  But I set it up in the first chamber a few weeks ago.  My plan is once its time to replace the foam block in chamber 2; build out a box in egg crate and wrap it in filter pad, with floss inside to further scrub the water.  Not sure if it's the best idea, but it sure is mesmerizing to watch the k1 float around.

I've seen them in freshwater systems, but I don't think there are any advantages to moving bed over just plain live rock. It won't hurt anything of course, so if you like it go for it!
