Is RO-DI water required

I live in the area of rio rancho and was wondering if the tap water here is acceptable instead of RO-DI, I know that my tap water doesnt contain chlorine or chloramine, so it might not contain other harmfull things, Just wondering if anyone knows if our water is okay.

Is Rio Rancho in the desert? Your water probably is extremely hard. You will definitely need to use RODI.
