I read that 1 male with several females can be kept in 30 to 55gallons. Not sure what happens if you end up with two males.

Yeah several people on Lionfish Group on Facebook as well as other forums have suggested a M-F-F trio as the most you should keep in a sub 55G. I am going to have a look on my way home, from the sounds of things the possible female is tiny (1.5") so of course could be a juvenile Male..... thats half the size of Swim Shady which while good for pairing Clown Fish not sure about the Lionfish (almost bite size for Shady)

This seemed informative since I know nothing about them.

Thank you for that, I have read in more than one place that the easiest way to determine sex with the Dwarf fuzzies is to count the numbers of rays or bands on the Pectoral Fins. Males typically have 6 to 10 bands and females 4 to 6. Also head shape but i dont feel like eyeballing that

So on Swim Shady you can see a definite 7 bands, with another few rows still forming

Will take pictures of the new one when i go see later on today. Also thinking that I like the Name "Carpi B"

So need a hand here, given up on the live rock order and have my refund now. So I have been thinking about ordering and placing and Aquaroche tower within the tank, mainly as they contain a nice number of caves and arches and ledges for the lionfish to hide within. Also LFS has another Dwarf Fuzzy in stock now so hopefully this one is a female.

So important things, names.

1. Sharkira

2. Carpi B

What are peoples favourites out of these two?

Ok so it appears that the LFS has another Male in stock, although it has a lot of Yellow and is a gorgeous fish will not work sadly. I will keep my eye out

However they did have an affordable Longnose Hawkfish

And the tiniest, tiniest Valentini Puffer

The hawk looks so cool! Puffer is adorable, but I heard they *might nip the spines of the lionfish from time to time. It's a shame - because a predator tank with a lion and puffer would look amazing. ❤️

Yeah plus it is easily the smallest fish i have seen in a while, they actually had a Yellow Goby (Gobiodon okinawae) that was larger then the Puffer 😂

Will keep checking and hoping on a female Dwarf Fuzzy or two

So lately I have been stalking the preloved and used equipment on my local forums and for my set budget (£100) have found a couple of lights that I think maybe suitable

Razor R420 60W 16K

v2 iLumenAir 900

Currently leaning towards the TMC v2 iLumenAir but wanting some feed back from anyone who has used these lights

Well was offered a deal that i couldnt say no too. £70.00 delivered, I just have a lot of cleaning work to do and will swap out the leg stands.

So this tank is now future proofed in terms of lighting, should be able to grow any corals or anemones with this light

So today is the first day that i have been back in the office for nearly 2.5 weeks thanks to a holiday and bank holidays. Anyways Swim Shady is looking like he needs to go on a diet. So one cube of Mysis usually lasts me a week (i feed a third of a cube 2-3 times a week) while i was off he got a full cube PER DAY!! 😂

Anyway a few shots from around the tank after about an hour of scraping the glass 🙄

Mushrooms are not only fully expanding now but are also dropping new babies all over the tank.

Glad everything is still alive! How did your nutrients do with all the extra food?

Whoa? A whole cube a day? Swim Shady must be spoilt rotten lol. 😅

Glad everything was okay when you returned. I'm curious about the nutrients as well, as pointed out by Firefish15. Any increase in algae etc.?

I have ran out of test kits but looking at the state of the algae on the glass i would have expected a pretty large increase, Zoas and Mushrooms look very happy however so only completed a small water change (5 gallons, system is 34G)

Yeah he has basically had the best part of 2 months worth of food in the last 2 weeks, chubby looking little bugger.

Thick brown/green/red film algaes on the glass is what i spotted, but remember i have a load of bio balls in the rear section, oh also swarming with pods at the minute too

I'm hoping mine starts eating soon too. My previous lion (years ago) would only eat live ghost shrimp - up to 4x shrimp at a time. 😅
