Dave21
Hey everyone, I'm just curious if there is something growing on my flower pot coral or if it is part of the coral. I'm new to LPS so I wasnt sure. The object in question is at the base of the flower pot and the rock it's on. There are two small red tubes that open and close. The coral seems to be doing fine but I was just curious. Quote Link to comment

Solution LazyFish Posted January 30, 2022 Solution Share Posted January 30, 2022 That's a tunicate. Intresting harmless filter feeder. They actualy have a very primitive "spinal cord" surprisingly. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

jservedio
Those look nicer than most that survive as hitchhikers, so you might want to try separating them if possible. Tunicates are awesome creatures and something that most reefers do not have! 2 Quote Link to comment
