Kevin Buckley
Would a filefish be ok in a Fluval Evo 13.5 reef tank with a pair of baby clowns, hammer, frogspawn, torch corals, a mushroom toad stall and Zoa’s? Tried everything to get rid of aiptasia but just come back 10 times worse? Last hope. Has anyone been successful? I know they have a liking for nipping corals? Quote Link to comment
Jaren45
Way too big of a fish imo. I would try peppermint shrimp (try to get the variety from the gulf of mexico if possible), or berghia nudibranchs 1 Quote Link to comment
Ratvan
I had one in my RSM130D, i think that tank was just big enough for him. And mine nipped every coral I had except some really invasive Palys 1 Quote Link to comment
NoOneLikesADryTang
That’s way too small of a tank for a file fish. We have one in our 80 gallon tank, and it’s really fun to watch it flutter throughout the tank. We are lucky that he has never developed a taste for coral, however, he’s also never developed a taste for aiptasia. I’d probably get 3 or 4 berghia nudibranchs and let them do their thing. You may even be able to catch them once they’ve cleared the tank out and resell them to someone else in your area. 3 Quote Link to comment
