tzink
Just got an MP10. A lot of powerheads have night mode to slow the flow at night. I don't really understand this. It's not as if waves in the ocean are calmer at night (right??) Any use to this? Or just marketing crap? Quote Link to comment
rimga123
Not sure if its just a coincidence But whenever i would go rock pooling, water is always much calmer early in the morning than compared at a lunch time. I do use night mode, i feel like the inhabitants may be less stressed not being blasted with flow in the middle of the night and the powerhead works more quiet, my tank is in my bedroom so i am trying to keep the noise to the minimum Edited: I am also curious to see what others think about the night mode. 1 Quote Link to comment

Fant
The wind usually lays down at night. Probably were this idea comes from. Your tidal currents don't change all that much day vs night. Quote Link to comment
