mcarroll Posted January 6, 2022 Share Posted January 6, 2022 Unless it's literally in the dark, shade won't hurt anything....lower light levels are actually more conducive to photosynthesis in a lot of scenarios.....levels down to just 5000 lux (about 100 PAR) can be completely sustaining....even lower if other conditions are optimal. Goes for corals, algae...just abut anything photosynthetic. Quote Link to comment
