InAtTheDeepEnd
Help. I feel like it is 😞 I feel so clueless lol    Quote Link to comment
Jaren45
Looks good to me. Hard to have too much flow in a reef! Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
Looks good to me as well. Â The utility pump would be my only worry....the flow pressure might be pretty strong for anything that's really close to it....but that's something you can deal with in placement. Quote Link to comment

Ok, just concerned because my zoa colony hasn't come out after WC earlier today. GSP is out and seems happy though. What would be a better alternative to the utility pump? Quote Link to comment
InAtTheDeepEnd
hmmm ordered 360 degree adjustable wave maker with same flow output as this pump . Will see how that works out. I need more surface movement but less aggressive flow at the bottom than this gives, I think; the zoa is still retracted so not enjoying the comparative buffering it's getting now in contrast to what it was before. Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
Yeah zoas can take a LOT of flow. They tend to be more compact, and less stretched with higher flow (and good lighting). Quote Link to comment
InAtTheDeepEnd
Ok, tbh I think the zoa has retracted maybe because the algae is moving and pulling on it constantly but idk. Going to see what keeping flow rate the same but changing its direction to more up does. Quote Link to comment
