Bought a few small prices of live rock.  I underestimated how cheap it was. $12 total. I could have got some more lol Probably just fill in with some dry to make a scape.

Also I had a bunch of mushrooms since forever hanging out in the 25g. WelI I decided to move all my corals to a 10g since I need to turn the light off the 25g (it’s in my bedroom where baby will be). Well somehow no SPS or acro or LPS or any ricordia or zoas and so on… had any issues. But every other type of hardy invasive mushroom melted overnight. So weird !!

So there guys like half my plans… damn.

Not much to look at yet… I bought a piece of glass for a lid at Lowes for 5 bucks. I need to tidy it up but will probably be very busy here soon so that will have to wait. I stuck a freshwater light over it for now as I have no idea what kind of lighting I want. Although this light would look nice with macros and gorgs I bet.

You can see some pink living tissue on my um… curiously shaped coral hitchhiker.

I may just try to cover the bottom in corals instead of using sand. Haven’t decided.

Don’t plan on any mechanical/chemical filtration at this point… @WV Reefer style.

That one is all blue I think but they do have a more full spectrum of another brand for 30 I think. I just have not committed yet.

This looks interesting for the price as well.

I also have a Nanobox tide on a 10g coral QT I could consider pulling off. Which would let me put the light closer and reduce spill.

I accidentally started this tank with salinity of 1.035 lol… brought it down to 1.030 a few days ago. Need to drop it again.

Ordered a Par38 today for $30... Amazon free returns so I can try it out. Either on this tank or on my 10g QT and move the tide to this tank.

The uglies/diatoms are in FULL SWING! I didn't get a chance to get a pic but def time for a water change and CUC tomorrow.

New plan! I got a deal on a used AI prime so will be that light or a tide 🙂

Did a water change but didn’t bring enough water upstairs lol… will top it off and grab some snails out of my 80 today. Lots for them to eat!

Got the prime on today but no idea what settings it is running. Still didn’t do cable management.

I have learned when caring for a newborn… trying to do anything that doesn’t directly relate to the baby goes something like this…

I am going to get that done today = I am going to get that done in 3-5+ days or maybe never. 😅

Added a ORA urchin today... aquaculture so tiny little guy... hoping he can put a dent in the algae. The snails are leaving bare spots but can't keep up!

I also snuck a 50% waterchange in.

I will probably do inverts only since this tank needs to stay lower maintenance. I tried ordering a Saron shrimp. Hope it shows up... live aquaria is kinda poo these days.

Are you planning to move the urchin over to a larger tank later? I was looking at getting one for my 13.5 because they're my favorite sea creatures (that's not a fish). I'll have to look for a tiny aquacultured guy. I plan to move my future clowns over to a larger tank at some point as well.

Yes, he can go in my 80g eventually. They stay small for an urchin but not super small.

I got a pic of him quick! He came in the bag with a ulva hat.

I added a hob filter to try out (so bulky on this tank) and that is what he’s climbing up. Can see how tiny he is vs the intake slits.

Okay got two kinds of candy canes which I will probably give away as I am thinking softies and pests only here.

Got two bornemans nems.. some mushrooms and some sort of mini nem that I have never seen. Not sure of the ID.

one of the borneman nems and a field of algae. You can see where the cuc has mowed through tho!

That is a light bulb nem hitchhiker not a Aiptasia, keep your shorts on.

Mushies and the lighter green ones on the glass is some sort of mini nem.

Found a pic online of the nems... they are simply called mini carpet nems and they max out at 2 inches and self propagate.

Sounds similar to the red bali mini - just green form.
