red sponge?!?

Hi all,

here's something new (at least to me) to be identified

I bought this frag last saturday (it is supposed to be blue xenia even if I'm not totally convinced on the id) and that strange red thing which was almost not visible this yesterday started to show up...

if touched/disturbed deflates and is almost not visible, when fully extended it is 1.5-2cm long, it has a "huge" mouth and a beatiful red color

Since it is able to move I do not think it is a sponge, so, what is it?!PSX_20211115_143514.thumb.jpg.5a5175ff6172df675f5ebb31f7b7ce63.jpg?

tunicate. they are very intresting creatures. if you manage to reproduce it i would be suprised. what kinds of fish do you have in the tank. a rare find like that would be worth protecting.

2 clownfishes

some snails

so far I didn't get any good info, just a couple of pictures

I'm used to dose phitoplankton, any chance on getting it growing?

it may grow. im not sure if its colonial, your stocking is fine they shouldnt eat the tunicate. id try putting a slow drip of phyto in mabye. im not sure if its photosynthetic or not but i dougt it. if algae grows on it, put it in darkness
