gio14
Hi all, I found something new in my nano... Something safe or to be removed? 1 Quote Link to comment
gio14
I initially thought they were some kind of hydroids but they look exactly the same as the ones in this article: https://reefs.com/2016/01/04/iramo-highly-dangerous-aquarium-coral/ so... should I remove all of them? Hydroids. sometimes they are no big deal and sometimes they spread rapidly. I have a patch that hasn’t grown at all and they do not bother anything. Quote Link to comment
gio14
thanks, still not completely convinced on the id, since the link I've added shows a picture where they look almost the same... what I am worried about is that, if in the end they are iramo I have to be really carefull not to touch them (stings seems to be pretty strong). and, what about that purple alge spot? it is red/purple and, since July it is in the same place neither growing nor dying. The color is much better in real life... Quote Link to comment
