Interceptor question + the experience treating redbugs

I’m going to be doing my first treatment of interceptor today. I’m using melevs guide. Only question i have is what to do with the reactor. I want the medicine to go through the tubing but I don’t want to run carbon with the medication.
 

Should I run the water through the reactor and just remove the carbon, or just cut the flow to the reactor until the following day?

I would remove the carbon and run the reactor empty for the duration of the treatment (to be safe and make sure nothing is hiding out in your reactor), but that's just me.

Dose one went in last night. 
will do a water change today and take some macro pics of the corals. 
I took some a few weeks ago to compare. 
visually I can’t see any!!
