I am in the middle of my 55 gallon tank setup after 5 days I put 5 fish in tank will not being putting anymore in there for a month. Anyways my question should I do an water change or should I wait after it has finished cycling and am putting dwarf chiclids in this tanks. Thank you very much for you help and time. Tired Posted September 27, 2021 Share Posted September 27, 2021 You should not put fish in a tank that isn't done being cycled. It's dangerous to your fish. Since you've put fish in, you now have to do fish-in cycling, which is where you try to keep ammonia low enough to not hurt the fish, but still present, so the tank will cycle. What are your ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels? 3 Quote Link to comment
