Dave MN Nano
Is this how favia reproduce or what is this white thing? (Under the favia) Quote Link to comment
gena
I'm pretty sure favia do the dividing thing. It's hard to tell from the photo but the first one definitely just looks like a closed up zoanthid or palythoa. I just googled it...they grow new skeleton underneath and then the tissue forms. Does it feel hard or squishy when you touch it? Quote Link to comment
Dave MN Nano
I haven't touched it yet. I popped up very quickly - probably overnight. Yes I do have Zoas in the tank but how would one get there? The closest Zoas are probably 5" away. Quote Link to comment
Jungle_vip
Is this a new addition? If so it was probably living under it closed up then when settled in finally poked out. Quote Link to comment
Dave MN Nano
I have had that coral for at least 4 months. It really just started to grow however Quote Link to comment
mitten_reef
Looks like Pineapple sponge. Usually in live in the sump or dark area of the AIO. Might have gotten loosed and reattached there Quote Link to comment
