Odyssey350kc
So I have all 3 going on at once. Red Cyano, brown dinos, and green hair algae. Now, I read the dinos are from no nutrients, and the hair algae is from high nutrients. So not sure how I would have both. I also have a very high amount of flow. Below are pics of my phosphate and nitrate parameters since I started seeing signs and began testing. I have had the same amount of food given every day for the past 6 months. None of them are really bad, but are steadily becoming worse Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
seabass
Have you confirmed dinos (with the shake test or a microscope), or just basing it off the color? 1 Quote Link to comment
Odyssey350kc
No. I am not familiar with the shake test or what they look like under a microscope. Just previous experience with them. I am not sure at this point. It is not a severe case like I had before and it's kind of tough to tell what exactly I do have. Here is a couple pics I took this afternoon. The brown sections with the bubbles looked like the dinos I had before, and you can see sections that look like red slime algae. Kind of frustrating when I have a tank almost a year old with fairly stable parameters, and no change in feeding or light schedule in over 6 months. Quote Link to comment
